Deduction #57. Audio Recording Equipment

In order to take a business deduction, you must first prove you have a business. Then, once you’ve proven you have a business, examine your expenses to determine what is a legitimate expense for your business.

If you have a business that makes audio recordings, for resale, training and/or marketing, then you have audio recording equipment that is also a write-off.

As with all expenses, make sure you keep a good record of what you bought (keep the receipt) and proof that you paid for it (with credit card, check, cash or PayPal account.)
